Our good friends with the LP Collection are at it again…they will be coming with Classic Car offerings to all 3 of the SG Auction events in 2019 and we are excited to have them! For the May 3-4 auction in Spring Grove, they are offering 3 iconic muscle cars.
If you are unfamiliar with the people behind the LP Collection, read on for a quick review: Based in St. Paul MN, Mike and Cavan have built up a real classic car community. Enthusiasts, retirees, friends and family are the driving force behind their shop. With passion for classics, on any morning you will find a steady flow of people working together to tend to the shop and the stable of cars. The shop started as a hobby space and has now become a true resource for like-minded classic car people who put their heart and soul into maintaining and restoring their cars. Bathed in the glow of a large, and continuously growing, neon sign collection the shop has a nostalgic feel of a 50s era gas station. Like most gas stations, there is never a shortage of coffee and donuts to be shared while stories and memories are discussed and made. The cars in the stable are meticulously maintained and most importantly, to do NOT sit around and collect dust! Every weekend you can easily find this crew attending shows around the metro area. The most notable detail about their attendance is every car is driven to the shows, never trailered. That said, if you are fortunate enough to own a car from this stable, you know first hand with confidence, every car is meticulously maintained and ready for the open road!
The first offering form the LP Collection is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. This delicious car is powered a 383 Stroker engine with aluminum heads which is hooked up to a Turbo 350 transmission built to take 500 hp. The engine has an HEI ignition system while the car features power steering, front disc brakes and a new tubular suspension system. If the color on the car doesn’t catch your attention…unlikely! The color is Lamborghini Tangerine with black rally stripes simply adding to the appeal of this already iconic car. The interior has been totally reconditioned and made to look factory. The flashy, stout 69 is purpose built to run smooth at highway speeds but still pack a punch off the line!

The black vinyl interior is believed original to the car and is showing like new. This clean convertible is set up as a nod to iconic Bullitt car and runs and drives as good as it looks!

Equipped with a 3000-stall converter, staggering off the line power is easily controlled through the gears with a B&M slapstick shifter. The exhaust is new and features cut outs for when you are feeing rowdy! Showing a fresh coat of paint, the body very straight and clean. The interior is mostly original, while the carpet and upholstery on the front bucket seats are brand new.
